With an advanced and integrated system of product research and development, manufacturing and quality control, the business unit now has an annual production capacity of 7 million units in total and achieved 1.6 million USD sales revenue in 2015.
In the past decade, Midea has been dedicated to enhance its core competence and strived to be the leading kitchen appliance manufacturer in the world.
In addition to the local R&D department, in 2013 Midea Kitchen appliances division established an R&D Center in Italy with the purpose of developing high-end kitchen appliances such as free-standing cookers, built-in ovens, built-in hobs and hoods. The R&D center is located in Formigine, Modena province, an area known around the world as the hub for leaders in the appliances industry (Smeg, LaGermania, Glem, etc.), and automobile industry (Ferrari, Maserati, etc.) as well as being the center of the Italian ceramic tile industry.
